Since it is important to integrate nature with health, Medicity has been built adjacent to restricted PLPA land. A total area of ​​350 acres has been earmarked for the health sector, out of which 100 acres of land has already been acquired by GMADA under 100% land pooling, making farmers stakeholders and no farmer has been displaced. The land owners of Medicity will be allotted residential and commercial plots/sites in the Eco City as per their eligibility under the land pooling scheme. The remaining 260 acres of land is being acquired. Out of the 100 acres already acquired, 50 acres of land has been allotted for the development of Tata Cancer Hospital, work on which is in progress. Civil works at the site are in progress and the project is targeted for completion by 2015. The project thus completed will provide facilities for clinical research, training and education.
